Our Purpose

Here at Adavo Workspace we’re on a mission to continue to create more and better local jobs by restoring local landmark buildings to the centre of their communities, which in turn invigorates new community spirit, growth and prosperity.

Adavo brings jobs to areas that need them. We facilitate thousands of local jobs in areas that need better economic support and infrastructure. Our model helps to create this support by restoring heritage buildings. We aim to make a real difference in the North East region to begin with, and are targeting 30+ building projects, 1,500+ delivered office suites, and 10,000+ jobs. 

Each additional investment helps fund projects that create high quality, sustainable local employment. We have funded close to 1,000 workstations in operation and are growing fast.

When Adavo was founded in 2010, we wanted to create a brand that represented a quality of service. We aimed for the best talent, the highest standards and practiced a daily commitment to excellence at all levels of operation. It remains at the core of everything we do.

We have found that great businesses are very well organised. With Adavo, we have tried to create a process-orientated business that aims to drive quality through every part of our service. That means living up to very exacting standards of organisation and attention to detail. These standards help to place us ahead of the competition in both returns, security and service level.

Our business is rooted on strong foundations. Over many years of experience we have refined our business model to a point where we can consistently deliver results. We are a well run, growing business targeting a growing flexible-workspace industry. Exciting times are ahead.

Excellence in investment means successfully providing steady, reliable returns. It is showing a clear, transparent investment process with good financial controls and a strong operational management of risk. We built Adavo to provide this service and our track record is testimony to this statement.

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. Adavo has made every payment on time in our 12+ years of trading including during Covid-19. We have no default payments up to the current date. We have generated over £4m of revenues and growing and our investors have been paid millions in interest as a result. Adavo has successfully returned several million pounds of invested capital. 

Through good markets and bad, Adavo has always delivered results.

Conducting Business Ethically

Beyond the top level, we ensure that our suppliers are paid in full straight away. We have managed an average of 2-3 creditors days for well over a decade now, meaning virtually every supplier is paid in full immediately. We don’t do credit and do not operate 30 days payments. It is a responsible, refreshing way of doing business in the 21st century. 

We seek to do business in a sound, ethical manner with both our investors, customers and suppliers. It is the foundation of good corporate social responsibility and, simply put, the right thing to do. Adavo is a good trading partner from any direction.

Our History

Adavo was established in January 2010 as property development and lettings specialist. Initially focused on the residential market, the business grew quickly using Joint Venture Partnerships to fund student and residential projects.
2010
Our lettings management business moves to new premises and establishes great systems and processes, laying the foundations of what will follow. Adavo grows strong local roots servicing hundreds of landlords and investors in the North East property market.
2012
Adavo's scope broadens to commercial property, making our first investment in business centres with the purchase of Wallsend Town Hall in North Tyneside. It is a natural extension of our lettings management knowledge into business centre management.
2014
Adavo expands with the purchase of our second business centre; the Clervaux Exchange in Jarrow, South Tyneside. We learn how to build our systems and prove we can duplicate our processes and operations by running two sites.
2015
Adavo grows into neighbouring county Northumberland by buying Blyth Police Station. It will become a 50+ office business centre serving the growing renewables businesses in the local area.
2018
Adavo expands into Wearside with the purchase of The Commissioners Building, Sunderland. An iconic local landmark, it will be lovingly restored to house 48 office suites and offer some of the region's finest conferencing facilities.
2019
Adavo deepens our home presence in North Tyneside by investing in The Buddle Art Centre, Wallsend. Loved by many, the building has a stunning story and place in the local community. It will be transformed into workspace aimed at wellness and private healthcare.
2020
Adavo supports dozens of our resident tenants across the portfolio with the aim of keeping as many businesses alive during an historic moment and crisis. We share the burden across the board, weather the continuing storms in union and emerge with over 70%+ of existing tenants successfully surviving the pandemic trading conditions. All payments are made on time and in full.
Covid
Our story continues to evolve, our business is growing well again in the new post-covid landscape and our impact is expanding further. We have strong leadership, a great team, a fantastic collective spirit and work daily towards the realisation of our collective goals. Newcastle City Centre, Darlington and Durham are next on our radar. Watch this space closely.
